A Little Background...
Jean Duane knows first-hand what it is like to live with food intolerances. Early in life, she discovered she was dairy intolerant. In mid-life, she learned she was gluten intolerant and embarked on a journey that required her to totally change the way she cooked, ate, and lived. She maintains a gluten-free, dairy-free, low cholesterol diet, and has been developing alternative recipes for 20 years.Jean is passionate about cooking and baking! Her mission in life is to teach others that "living without" doesn't mean having to give up eating delicious foods. Yes, you can have it all and still be GFCF. She focuses on using healthy, whole unprocessed foods including beans, grains, vegetables, fruits, nuts and of course, chocolate. Jean shares how to prepare fun and easy meals and baked goods with alternative ingredients the whole family can enjoy - foods that rival those made with traditional ingredients.
In addition to an MBA from the University of Colorado, Jean has been formally trained in cooking and baking, having received certification from the School of Natural Cookery. She is a member of the International Association of Culinary Professionals, and is a featured speaker and cooking demonstrator at venues around the country.
Jean Duane is a national award-winning entrepreneur, guest TV cook, author, and food evangelist. Her epicurean adventures extend to the creation of fun-packed, informative, instructional cooking DVDs and online media, including video streams.
